Student Involvement - Engineering Students

Engineering students involved in the LEGS program contribute heavily to both the SPI team and the PT team. Responsibilities on these teams include:

• R & D into prosthetic limb technology - this includes both lower and upper limbs
• R & D into small plot irrigation techniques
• Field implementation of prosthetic limb R & D abroad - this includes the possibility of travelling to countries such as Kenya, Senegal, or Bangladesh, and helping local clinicians manufacture LEGS technology
• Field implementation of small plot irrigation techniques - this includes the possibility of travelling to Senegal to implement irrigation techniques with local farmers in Senegal
