LEGS prosthetic technology began in 2004 with the development of its M1 knee, which can be made for 20USD and manufactured locally in developing nations. As the knee has been tested and finalized, the LEGS Prosthetic Technology team has begun research and development into other extremities. Currently, research and development is underway for a low-cost arm, as well as a foot. Eventually, the LEGS Prosthetic Technology team hopes to field test its new prosthetic technologies and have it meet the high standards of engineering, quality, and cost that have been set by the M1 Knee.
