Small Plot Irrigation
Many of the chronically hungry in the world are farmers who have an acre of land or less. These farmers are stuck below the poverty line, without enough revenue it becomes impossible for them to rise out of poverty. Currently those farmers water their crops with buckets because they cannot afford better technology for their farms. The LEGS Small Plot Irrigation (SPI) team started in August 2009, and has been actively seeking a more affordable and less back breaking solution. We plan to provide an affordable option for rural farmers to begin increasing their farming productivity. Similar to how the distribution M1 knee was modeled, we will start on a small scale and continually increase bringing our technology to the people of Senegal Africa. The following pages include a brief description on what the team has been working on and what our goals are. Feel free to browse and thank you for visiting our site.
